About Us

Forsbrook C. of E. Voluntary Controlled Primary School was opened on September 1st 2000 as a result of the amalgamation between The Beeches, Forsbrook Junior School and Forsbrook C. of E. (C) Infants' School. The school is housed on two adjacent sites within the Blythe Bridge High School campus and serves mainly the communities of Forsbrook and Blythe Bridge. Children will be accepted from neighbouring areas if there are vacancies in the appropriate age group. Almost all of the children at eleven years of age transfer to Blythe Bridge High School.

The school has an extensive site which includes three playgrounds and a large sports field. Also on site is a memorial garden which is used for curricular and social use and also a small adventure playground for infant children. A swimming pool which is used by all children is situated next to the school.

There are eight class bases, a specialist ICT suite and two library areas, one on each site. The junior library is fully computerised and contains a computer learning area. There are two halls, one which serves as a dining room. The school has its own kitchen and almost all of the children stay for lunch. There is also a small cookery room where children can prepare food as part of their Design and Technology curriculum.

The school also has "Forsbrook Nursery and Childcare Unit" known as "Jigsaws". This was established in September 2006

Forsbrook school is well equipped and is very spacious and staff have high expectations of behaviour and achievement. Our aim is to ensure academic, personal and social development and it is the school's aim to provide stimulating opportunities to help pupils fulfil their potential.

Parental involvement is actively encouraged either in the classroom or as a supporter of the 'Parent, teacher and Friends Association', who work for our children in order to provide extra school resources. The school has been described as having a warm, caring and welcoming atmosphere, all elements that ensure a high standard of educational provision for the children of our community.
